New Students

Thank you for choosing Candler Park Yoga! If you are a first-time visitor to the studio, here are a few things that will assist you in your experience.

Because we are an urban studio located in the heart of a neighborhood, street parking is required (free). Please park only in designated parking areas (watch for the No Parking signs) on Brooks Ave. or the surrounding streets. For a more detailed list of where and where not to park, please go to our Location & Parking page.

While all of our classes offer modifications and variations for all bodies, here are a few things to keep in mind as you choose your first class:

* If you are brand new to yoga or you have physical limitations, a Restorative, Gentle, or Morning Yoga class will be most appropriate for you.

* Yoga for Every Body, Meditative/Moderate, and Evening Yoga classes offer a blend of strength and stretch for all levels of practitioners.

* Workout and Power classes are designed to build strength and stamina and tend to combine vinyasa (flow) sequencing with long posture holds. Although modifications are provided for all levels of participants, these classes are recommended for students with some yoga experience due to the intensity of the practice.

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early on your first visit to complete a short waiver of liability and to meet the teacher. There are shoe bins in the lobby, or you may carry your shoes into the studio (bare feet only on the carpet, please) and place with any personal belongings in the cubbies just inside the studio door. To honor the tranquility of the space and those who sit quietly before class, please turn off all cell phones before entering.

At this time we accept cash or check (payable to Candler Park Yoga) for payment. All class fees can be found here, including drop-in rates, class card prices, and discounted rates. First time students get a card for a second class free, so make sure to get yours when you come!

For hygiene reasons we recommend that you bring your own yoga mat to class. We do have studio mats available for use for $3 per class (include with class payment). Please spray and wipe rental mat with mat cleaner before returning to the prop shelf so it is ready for the next student.   For more information about studio etiquette and to ensure your best yoga experience, please read more here.

Did we leave something out? Please feel free to contact us  with questions if you would like more information before coming to the studio.

We look forward to meeting you!
