While it is not clear what motivated me to take my first yoga class, I loved it; as I took more classes over time, there was a clear shift within me: a subtle journey was just beginning. It led me on a healing path of mind, body, and spirit. With every practice, my spirituality was being restored and I was even cultivating self-love.
Having been blessed to learn this ancient practice, I decided I wanted to share this gift with other seekers, especially those who might be feeling aimless as I once did.
I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta, GA, and became a registered instructor with the Yoga Alliance. I have also studied in Rishikesh, India, at Parmarth Niketan Ashram during an intensive 4-week-program, completing 150 hours of yoga training.
To me, yoga is much more than the physical poses – it is a way of connecting with the universe. It cultivates a message of love, transformation and growth. The practice is a time for each person to look within and discover his/her own unique truth. There are no absolutes or finalities in yoga. It is a continuous journey to your own rhythm.
Namaste means, “I honor the place in you where the entire universe dwells.” I honor the place within you that is of Love, Truth, Light, and Peace. When you experience the sacred space within you and me within mine, we become One.
I hope to see you on the mat to meet in that sacred space of ‘Namaste.’
