I came to yoga in 2007. At first yoga was all about the “work out” it offered my body. After practicing for just a few months, I began to notice that I wasn’t feeling as anxious and stressed, and that my sore and tight hips from a lifetime as a runner weren’t hurting as much. After the death of my mom in 2009, yoga became a salvation for me as I began to find my way through the unpredictable waters of grief. It was during this time that I discovered that yoga was filling a spiritual void for me. It became clear to me that yoga was the one thing that I would consistently do to nurture and love myself. I began to immerse myself in the teachings of yoga and in 2011, I completed the 200 hr. yoga teacher certification in the Pranakriya tradition under the guidance of Yoganand Michael Carroll and William Hufschmidt. My desire is to bring my love of yoga to others and to help facilitate students as they heal their hearts and bodies. Yoga has been one of the greatest gifts in my life, and I look forward to sharing this gift with others.
